In collaboration with local farmers in Muruta, Burundi Seeds Specialty (BSS Bdi) proudly presents this award-winning Taste of Harvest microlot. Grown on the high-altitude slopes of Muruta (1,900–2,100 masl) near the lush Kibira Forest, this coffee reflects both terroir and craftsmanship.
Only ripe Bourbon cherries were handpicked and processed at the Umuco Washing Station, where skilled teams applied meticulous methods: 12 hours of dry fermentation, 16 hours of wet fermentation, followed by washing, soaking, pre-drying, and careful sun-drying. After 18 days, the coffee was rested and stored at a stable 11% moisture content before hulling—preserving its vibrant character.
The result is a fully washed coffee that shines with clarity and complexity, a true expression of Burundi’s dedication to quality and its farmers’ passion.
